Meet Our StaffCindyCindy Pryor has been the manager of the Chambersburg Fitness Center since it's opening in 1985. She purchased the fitness center in January 2011. Cindy graduated magna cum laude with a bachelor of science degree in education with a minor in psychology. She has completed training with Fit Tech, a marketing/management company, and with Cybex Equipment Company. Cindy is CPR certified and is a licensed pool operator.
Before joining CFC I tried to do home exercise videos, watching what I ate, weight watchers, and other gyms. I was unsuccessful in progressing with my weight loss. The staff at CFC helped me to meet my goals. They set me up with machine and a workout to get to my goals. They worked with me and educated me on how to eat right and the staff encouraged me to step outside my box and try many of their classes. The staff has shown me so much support during my transformation from 157lbs to 118lbs. CFC has greatly changed my life and I don't think I would have exceeded my own fitness goals without them. In 2004 I was diagnosed with osteopenia and my doctor prescribed medicine taken weekly. In 2008 after discussion with my physician I stopped taking the medicine due to possible worse side effects. While on the meds my bone density tests improved very little. After not taking meds my test remained the same, didn't change. In 2011 I started going to stretch class on Tues. and Thurs. morning. In October 2011 my bone density showed my hip stayed the same, however, my spine improved and my height has improved by 1/4 inch.I credit this improvement to the stretch class which is also enjoyable. My doctor told me to continue going to class whenever possible. Thank you Chris Anne for a great class.Cecile West, PA
